What a show!!! Jordy Smith South Africa's surf superstar blasted his way to his first ever WCT win at the J-bay Pro. Jeffrey's Bay turned on the conditions and the event ran for four consecutive days starting on day one, for the first time in the events history. But it was Jordy who consistently lit up the event, by linking massive carves with superman grabs to gauging tail slides.

The event win shunts Jordy into the number one spot on the world rankings. The first time a South African has been in the number one spot since the legendary Martin Potter was dominating the tour back in the Eighties. Exciting times!!!
